The Professional Pilot Program takes cadets from zero experience to Certified Flight Instructor, with an opportunity to interview for a paid CFI role and build your flight hours.
The Jet Transition and ATP CTP programs are for pilots further along in their careers. The Jet Transition Program builds CRM skills and crew-environment readiness for licensed pilots moving toward airline operations. The ATP CTP delivers the ground school and simulator training required before sitting the FAA ATP knowledge test.

Does PPP have an accelerated track option?
Yes. The Professional Pilot Program is structured as an accelerated FAA Part 141 pathway, taking students from zero experience or PPL entry to Certified Flight Instructor in 12 to 15 months. At the end of the program, students choose a one-month completion track: Track 1 (Commercial Multi-Engine Add-On) or Track 2 (CFI-Instrument), based on their career goals. Both tracks follow the same accelerated core program.
Can I enroll if I already have a Private Pilot License?
Yes, individuals who already hold a Private Pilot License can join the Professional Pilot Program at the Instrument Rating phase. Entering at this point in the program will shorten the time you spend in training to earn your commercial pilot license and reduce the total cost of earning it.
What is FAA Part 141 flight training, and why does it matter?
Part 141 schools operate under an FAA-approved syllabus, with structured stage checks and defined progression milestones. The Professional Pilot Program at Acron Aviation Academy is an FAA Part 141 training path for commercial pilots, structured to help students earn their certificate and advance their careers.

ATP CTP is an advanced training course delivered in partnership with Bell Murray Aerospace for pilots preparing for an Airline Transport Pilot certification. It is not a beginner program. It is designed for already-licensed pilots who need the required training step before pursuing ATP certification for airline or certain corporate flying roles.
What programs does Acron Aviation Academy offer?
The Professional Pilot Program is the starting point for career-focused student pilots. The Jet Transition Program and ATP CTP are built for licensed pilots advancing toward airline or ATP certification.
How much does professional pilot training cost?
The Professional Pilot Program has two completion-track price points: $95,000 for Track 1 (Multi-Engine) and $93,500 for Track 2 (CFI-I). Additionally, the academy offers financing options for its flight training and scholarships for eligible students, such as the EXCEL Scholarship.
Can anyone enroll in the ATP CTP and Jet Transition Program?
Yes, you do not need to be currently enrolled at Acron Aviation Academy to enroll in the ATP CTP or Jet Transition Program. Pilots from any flight school are welcome, as long as they meet the program requirements.
Can I choose where I do my commercial pilot training?
For all pilot training programs and courses, cadets will complete training at our Sanford campus in central Florida.
Our Orlando flight school is equipped with modern facilities and professional trainers ready to help you complete your pilot license training.
With 200 Flight Instructors, and around 85 single and multi-engine aircraft, as well as eight flight simulators and five FTDs, we are ready to launch your pilot career.
How long do our flight training programs take?
How long it takes to become a commercial pilot is dependent on the pilot training program you choose to complete.
How long to complete PPL training?
The length of time it takes to complete your PPL training can vary and is dependent on factors such as weather conditions, availability and finances.
With a PPL course, you complete approx. 50 hours of flight time.
Where will I complete my Private Pilot License training?
You will complete your PPL training at our Acron Aviation Academy in Orlando, Florida.
Where will I complete my commercial pilot training?
Our PPP program is taught at our flight school in Orlando, Florida.
We have state-of-the-art technology and facilities to make your Flight Instructor course and airline pilot training program even more successful!
Our academic building, knowledge testing center, and simulation and aircraft maintenance building provide the most effective and efficient environment to complete your commercial pilot and Certified Flight Instructor training. Cadets have access to a fleet of approximately 85 aircraft, five Flight Training Devices, and 8 flight simulators - enabling you to gain all of the essential theory and practical skills needed to take to the skies.
Other facilities include our high-tech operations center, dispatch center, high-intensity runway lighting, AWOS weather reporting system, FAA control tower, and pre and post-flight briefing areas.
