EXCEL Scholarship

Earn up to $11,429 toward your advanced pilot training. Train like an airline-ready professional and get rewarded for it. The EXCEL Scholarship covers your CFII or Multi-Engine Add-On when you meet Acron Aviation’s performance standards. EXCEL is merit-based and uncapped. Every student eligible for the EXCEL Scholarship receives it.

What the EXCEL Scholarship covers

The EXCEL Scholarship pays the full published course fee for one advanced training phase, depending on which track of our Professional Pilot Program you choose. It covers either your Multi-Engine Add-On ($11,429) or your Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument Add-On ($9,930).

Covers: Multi-Engine Add-On
Value: $11,429
What this means: Earn the scholarship and your Multi-Engine Add-On course fee is covered.

Track 2

Covers: CFI-I Add-On
Value: $9,930
What this means: Earn the scholarship and your CFI-I phase course fee is covered.

Scholarship funding covers the published course fee for the applicable phase only and does not include additional flying hours beyond the published course allocation, accommodation, or ancillary costs. The Scholarship cannot be exchanged for a cash equivalent. Funding may be withdrawn if the training course is not completed.

Who qualifies for the EXCEL Scholarship?

Qualification criteria

The EXCEL Scholarship is not a lottery, and it is not capped. Every student who meets the standard earns the scholarship. To be eligible, you need to demonstrate Acron Aviation Academy’s “airline-ready” expectations.

What we look for:

First-time ground school exam passes: Preparation and hard work. Consistency signals the airlines expect.
Strong training progression and checkride performance: You advance through each phase steadily, reflecting discipline and professionalism in the cockpit.
Instructor feedback and professionalism: Emphasis on Instructor evaluation, as well as attitude, preparedness, and how you respond to coaching.

A specialized campus at Sanford International Airport provides exposure to airport operations, simulators, and flight devices. Florida offers over 300 flying days annually, so fewer weather delays mean more consistent flights.

EXCEL Scholarship: frequently asked questions

Is there a limit on how many students can receive the EXCEL Scholarship?

The EXCEL Scholarship has no cap. All qualifying students earn it if they meet the criteria, regardless of the number.

What does the scholarship cover?

The scholarship covers the published course fee for the CFII Add-On ($9,930), or the Multi-Engine Add-On ($11,429). It doesn't include additional flying hours, accommodation, or any other costs. It is non-exchangeable or redeemable for cash.

Do I need to apply separately for the scholarship?

Usually, students don't apply separately for scholarships. Instead, their training performance, via progress, exams, checkride results, and instructor feedback, determines eligibility. An admissions advisor can explain the monitoring process.

Do I need prior flight experience to enroll?

We accept students with no flight time; the scholarship is based on training performance, not experience. If you're motivated and prepared, you can start without any prior experience.
