On Wednesday July 27, 2022 at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Piper announced the two latest individuals that have joined their Brand Ambassadors program — L3Harris (now Acron Aviation) Flight Academy students Emily Royster and Garrett Winkler!
The role of a Piper Brand Ambassador – just like Emily and Garrett – is to leverage their social media channels to showcase both their pilot training journey, as well as Piper’s training product line. Here at L3Harris Flight Academy in Sanford, Florida, our fleet includes the Piper Archer PA28, and multi-engine Piper Seminole PA44.
The aim of the program is to build a community of those pursuing a career in aviation, inspiring the next generation of flight training students.

Emily Royster
“Hi! My name is Emily Royster and I am one of the Piper Brand Ambassadors for the Academy. As an Ambassador, I am able to share my flight training journey at the Academy flying in a Piper Aircraft. I feel so grateful to have been given a platform where I can inspire others to explore the opportunities within aviation. I had the opportunity to attend EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh this year to represent the Academy and Piper Aircraft, and it was amazing meeting aviators that I’ve looked up to for so long. I am looking forward to being a resource for those interested in flight school, and hopefully inspiring more women to get into aviation!“
Garrett Winkler
“This entire experience—from the application and interview process, to the announcement being made at the biggest air show in the nation—has been nothing short of incredible! I am beyond blessed with this opportunity and cannot express my gratitude enough to Piper Aircraft and my school. This ambassadorship means a lot to myself and my aviation career. It has already and will continue to allow me to make amazing connections and gain valuable experience as an aviator. I am most looking forward to combining my passion of aviation with my passion of video creation! Hearing my name announced at the largest air show in the nation and seeing the amazing air show is an experience I will never forget!”
