As the Director of Acron Aviation Academy, one of the most frequently asked questions I receive from potential aviation students and their parents is whether becoming a pilot is a safe profession.
I understand that safety is crucial and on everyone’s mind when it comes to flying, and it should be. Let me take this opportunity to convey that safety is our highest priority. I’m always happy to answer questions, address concerns, and provide transparency. Rest assured, you will have everything you need to make a confident decision.
Like any job, being a pilot comes with its own set of hazards, but statistically, flying has become one of the safest forms of transportation.
Here are the hazards associated with being a pilot:
Pilots reduce risks at Acron Aviation through rigorous training, advanced equipment, and continuous education. Beyond our industry-leading training, equipment, and pilot qualifications, you can be confident that the risks in flying remain extremely low.
Awareness of these and other ways to mitigate the dangers of flying goes a long way, and compliance helps avoid much of the expected risk.
According to the National Safety Council, flying has become one of the safest forms of transportation, with FAA-mandated training, required aircraft maintenance, and continued best practices from both the FAA and the aviation industry, planes crash exponentially less frequently than cars.
The FAA has strict safety requirements. The enforcement of such safety measures comes with harsh penalties for the pilot or operator out of compliance, resulting in licensure suspension and/or revocation. This means desirable compliance and safety measures are heavily regulated in the industry, even at the uppermost levels.
Safety is not up for debate at Acron Aviation Academy. We implement strict safety measures and adhere to the highest of FAA requirements.
Safety standards are frequently assessed and updated to predict problems before they occur.
Aviation careers give you options, and the risks far outweigh the rewards. There’s little better than a life in the clouds. An aviation career offers unparalleled benefits, including the opportunity to fly, lucrative salaries, travel perks, and a high-flying career as a respected member of society.
With job satisfaction, ultimate freedom, and financial stability, there's no better way to live, amongst the clouds and the call of the skies.
If you've got the passion for flying, learn how to apply for an aviation career that can provide the highest fulfillment.
