In 2016, at 13 years old, I moved to the United States without knowing any English. I lived in New York for six years, trying to adapt to a completely new life and culture while still holding onto that dream in the back of my mind.
After moving to Florida in 2021, I took a few lessons at a Part 61 flight school, but everything changed when I went to take my Private Pilot Knowledge Exam at a testing facility at Acron Aviation Academy. As I got closer to the Academy, I saw students and Instructors walking around in pilot uniforms, and for the first time, I felt like I was exactly where I belonged.
I started my training at Acron Aviation in the summer of 2023. Now, in 2026, I hold all of my pilot certificates and work as a Check Instructor at the Academy. Looking back, it is hard to put into words how much this school has changed my life. Acron Aviation gave me the environment, support, and opportunities to turn what once felt impossible into reality.
Along with the support of this exceptional school, I would not be where I am today without my mom. I would like to thank her for every sacrifice she made and every struggle she endured to put me in a position where I could chase my dreams.
It has truly been a dream come true to first be a student at Acron Aviation Academy and now work as an Instructor, helping the next generation of pilots pursue the same dream that once felt so far away.
If it is also your dream to become a pilot, make it happen! This is not an easy profession and requires hard work and dedication, but it’s all worth it when you get to wake up every day excited to go to work.
