I am beyond grateful to have attended my first Women in Aviation International Conference this year in Texas, made possible through the generous sponsorship of my academy, Acron Aviation.

Walking in, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect, but it didn’t take long to realize I was stepping into a space filled with passion, ambition, and possibility.

From the very beginning, there was an energy that felt both exciting and motivating. Whether it was the interactive workshops, educational sessions, or opportunities to connect with industry professionals, every moment offered something meaningful and inspiring.

A community like no other

One of the most impactful parts of the experience was being surrounded by an incredible range of women making their mark in aviation. I met students just beginning their journeys, as well as seasoned Flight Instructors, Captains, and veterans who have paved the way in this industry.

I also had the opportunity to connect with Mechanics, Air Traffic Controllers, and Flight Attendants, roles that are just as vital to aviation but often do not receive the recognition they deserve. Seeing the diversity of career paths firsthand was both eye-opening and empowering.

The power of shared stories

What made this experience truly unforgettable was not just the variety of roles represented, but the stories behind them.

Each conversation offered insight into a unique journey filled with challenges, risks, perseverance, and passion. Hearing how different each path was reminded me that there is no single right way to succeed in aviation. Every journey is valid, and every story matters.

"Attending the 37th Annual WIA Conference, with the support of Acron Aviation Academy, reinforced just how far I have come and how much I have grown, not only as a professional, but as a woman in aviation."

A personal takeaway

My biggest takeaway from this conference was a shift in perspective.
In an industry so focused on progression, whether it is earning the next rating or securing the next role, it is easy to become fixated on what is ahead and overlook the present. This experience reminded me to slow down and truly appreciate where I am right now.

Every step, every conversation, and every lesson adds its own color to the journey. Growth is not just about reaching milestones, it is also about embracing the moments in between.

Looking shead

Attending the 37th Annual WIA Conference, with the support of Acron Aviation Academy, reinforced just how far I have come and how much I have grown, not only as a professional, but as a woman in aviation.

As the future of flight continues to be shaped by talented and passionate women, I feel incredibly grateful to be part of this evolving industry. It is inspiring to know that there is a place for us here, and that together, we are helping shape what comes next.
