The scholarship coincides with the 40th-anniversary revival of Acron Aviation Academy’s flagship training pathways: the Accelerated Airline Pilot Track (AAPT) and the Professional Pilot Program (PPP).
Unlike traditional financial aid, the EXCEL Scholarship is awarded based on performance metrics, including Ground School exam results, checkride performance, and Instructor feedback. By covering the costs of advanced ratings, the program removes financial barriers for students demonstrating ‘airline-ready’ discipline from day one.
Funding through the scholarship specifically targets high-value certifications such as Multi-Engine Add-Ons, which are essential for pilots transitioning to commercial jet operations. Additionally, the program covers the Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFI-I) rating. This qualification authorises pilots to train others in advanced instrument flight rules (IFR) and significantly increases their marketability to commercial airlines.
"As we celebrate 40 years, we are shifting our focus toward solving the industry’s pilot shortage by investing in top-tier talent. The EXCEL Scholarship ensures that if a student puts in the effort, we match it by funding their professional success.”
