Acron Aviation Academy marked another milestone in its 40-year history by announcing the return of two of its most popular pilot programs, the Accelerated Airline Pilot Track (AAPT) and the Professional Pilot Program (PPP). Plus the launch of a new merit-based EXCEL Scholarship Program.

The announcement was made during Aerospace and Aviation Day at Sanford International Airport on Saturday, January 24, bringing together students, educators, aviation professionals, and community leaders to celebrate opportunities in aviation and aerospace careers.

Both programs have launched hundreds of pilot careers and meet the needs of motivated students seeking a direct and structured pathway to the airlines. AAPT offers a fast, structured path from zero flight time to airline readiness while PPP is a more flexible route for aspiring pilots seeking a well-rounded foundation in both technical flying skills and professional aviation standards.

Dave Cox, Director, Acron Aviation Academy said: “These programs helped define who we are as a Flight Academy and bringing them back during our 40th anniversary is about honoring our legacy while meeting today’s demand for well-trained, career-ready pilots.”

In addition to reviving its signature programs, Acron Aviation Academy introduced the EXCEL Scholarship, which will be awarded to students with the highest performance record throughout training. The scholarship is designed to reward consistency, professionalism, and strong academic and flight performance, helping reduce financial barriers while encouraging excellence from day one.

“The EXCEL Scholarship reflects our belief that hard work and commitment should be recognized. We want our students to know that if they put in the effort, we’ll continue investing in their success.”

Director, Acron Aviation Academy

The Academy provides clear pathways, experienced instructors, and training programs aligned with the expectations of today’s airlines.
