CadetX Direct™
Students enrolling in our Edge: Commercial Pilot Certificate program can apply to the Cadet XDirect™ program with Global Crossing Airlines.
Successful completion of this pathway program takes you directly from student pilot to First Officer with GlobalX flying an Airbus A320!
GlobalX is a domestic flag and supplemental airline flying the Airbus A320 aircraft, serving the US, Caribbean and Latin American markets.
Benefits include:
- First Officer bonuses up to $73,000
- Starting pay up to $60.90 per hour

How the Cadet XDirect™ Program works

Enroll at Acron Aviation Academy
The first step in your journey to becoming an airline pilot is to enroll in our Edge: Commercial Pilot Certificate program.

Build your experience as a CFI
Those that complete our Edge: Commercial Pilot Certificate program can then enroll on our Elite program, where you will earn your Certified Flight Instructor Instrument Rating (CFI-I). These certifications will help you reach your 1,500-hours!

Apply for the Cadet XDirect™ Program
At 1,000 hours of total time, Acron Aviation CFIs are eligible to apply for the Cadet XDirect™ Program. After the application and interview process, if selected, you will be given a conditional job offer to join GlobalX as a First Officer once you attain 1,500 hours.

Assigned a mentor
While working on your last 500 hours of flight time, you're assigned a current GlobalX pilot as a mentor. The mentor will help guide and prepare you for the transition from Acron Aviation CFI to GlobalX pilot. This provides valuable networking and additional training opportunities right from the start of your pilot career!
