What does the International Multi-License Program include?
The International Multi-License Program provides international students with the opportunity to train at our world-leading Florida Flight Academy and earn multiple international pilot licenses, issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Primarily designed for aspiring aviators in Europe, but open to students from across the globe, this program offers a direct pathway to a pilot career in the US (through our Edge and Elite training programs) or Europe (via the Edge program followed by an EASA conversion course).
With a balanced approach to practical and theoretical training this program offers the flexibility to choose between distinct pathways to the flight deck. No matter what pathway you take, you'll be flying one of our modern training aircraft in the beautiful Florida sunshine within your first week of training.

Edge: Commercial Pilot Certificate
All International Multi-Pilot License Program pathways start with the Edge program, a Part 141 program offering syllabi and training protocols approved by the FAA. This program prepares you for a career as a commercial pilot.

Becoming a commercial pilot in Europe
If your ultimate goal is to fly for airlines registered in Europe, you will need to follow the EASA conversion pathway. For the EASA conversion you will need to complete both EASA Theoretical Knowledge (Ground School) and flight skills test in EU airspace.
Pathway one: EASA License Conversion, with Distance Ground School
- Investment: $108,975 (includes Edge Program, plus Pathway One EASA aspects)
- Location: US and Ireland
- Duration: Edge, plus additional 3 months
You will study for, and complete, EASA Ground School while training in Florida, alongside the your Instrument Rating (IR) training.
On successful completion of your IR and EASA Ground School you will head to Europe to complete your EASA license conversion with flight training in EU airspace.
On completion of flight training you will graduate with your EASA issued licenses, alongside the FAA licenses you earned during your Edge program. The EASA licenses include:
- Multi-Engine Piston
- Commercial Pilot License IR
- Multi-Engine IR
- Upset Prevention and Recovery Training
The final step in your training is to complete the Airline Pilot Standards Multi Crew Cooperation training (APS MCC) in Europe. On successful completion of APS MCC you enter our Graduate Placement Pool, ready to start a career with a European airline.
Pathway two: EASA License Conversion, with Classroom Ground School
- Investment: $111,567 (includes Edge Program, plus Pathway Two EASA aspects)
- Location: US and Ireland
- Duration: Edge, plus additional 9 months
You will complete the entirety of the Edge program in Sanford, Florida.
You will then start your EASA Ground School training in person in Europe.
On successful completion of Ground School, you will embark on flight training in EU airspace.
On completion of flight training you will graduate with your EASA issued licenses, alongside the FAA licenses you earned during your Edge program. The EASA licenses include:
- Multi-Engine Piston
- Commercial Pilot License IR
- Multi-Engine IR
- Upset Prevention and Recovery Training

Becoming a commercial pilot in the USA
If your ambition is to launch your pilot career in the US and fly for regional and ultimately Major airlines including Delta, United and American on completion of your Edge program you can train towards your Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) or Certified Flight Instructor with Instrument (CFII).
Pathway three: CFI/CFII Qualification

- Duration: Edge, plus additional 4 months
You will complete the entirety of our Edge program in Sanford, Florida.
On successful completion of Edge you will begin the Acron Aviation Elite Program, this advanced training program teaches you how to pass your knowledge onto other aspiring pilots as CFI/CFII.
Our Elite CFI/CFII instructor Academy offers an innovative training approach to training to become a flight instructor. Our program was built by professionals with experience in flight training and is supported by PhD and masters level educators from colleges and universities. Elite includes:
- Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) plus Certified Flight Instructor with Instrument Rating (CFII)
- 60 hours of classroom-based instruction fundamentals of instruction and flight instructor aeronautical knowledge
- 48 hours of dual flight instruction in a single-engine aircraft, four simulator hours, 39 hours of instructional briefs to demonstrate competency in commercial and CFI maneuvers
- Exam fees and license issue
Upon completion of Elite, you are guaranteed an interview to become a Flight Instructor at the Acron Aviation Academy, which means you will earn a salary whilst teaching students and building up your FAA mandated 1,500 flight hours.
When you reach 1,500 hours you can begin your pilot career at one of the 13 regional airlines, we have Pilot Pathways with. Please note you will need the correct Visa documentation to live and work in the US.

Alternative pathways
On completion of Pathways One and Two, graduates could come back to the Acron Aviation Academy in Florida and enrol on the Elite program to become a CFI/CFII.
